Our Community Interest Statement declares that the company will carry on its activities for the benefit of

  1. Recreational users of the waters of Plymouth Sound and adjacent rivers in Cornwall and Devon
  2. People living in the vicinity of, and visitors to, Cove Head, Wilcove, Torpoint, Cornwall
  3. Marine life on the Tamar River and adjacent areas

Work with regulatory authorities and landowners

  1. To act as a single, committed, point of contact, recognised as an ethical and caring CIC working in the public interest for recreational users of the harbour and rivers and local foreshore
  2. To develop working alliances and partnerships with key organisations to enhance our objectives

Provide knowledge and information about mooring location and design

  1. To act as a centralised resource relating to making mooring positions and equipment available for different sized sailing and motor boats
  2. To manage the mooring positions and equipment, with approved and qualified contractors when needed
  3. To provide technical and legal advice for people seeking to acquire and use moorings positions and equipment

Manage the foreshore assets

  1. To provide appropriate suitable public life-saving and other safety equipment
  2. To build and maintain facilities suitable for the storage and launching of tenders
  3. To keep the foreshore clear of debris, and to remove plastic material
  4. Support PCC and the TECF with their work to monitor the distribution and abundance of non-native species

Develop the social context of Cove Head CIC

  1. Provide through a publicly accessible website a resource detailing the history and functions of Cove Head
  2. Show a map of the Cove Head area(s) for moorings and their location in support of the QHM's Plymouth practical work and statutory and regulatory activities
  3. Develop a community spirit and mutual respect between Cove Head CIC, residents of the area, visitors, and mooring users

If the company makes any surplus it will be used for improving the mooring environment, and investing in the day to day running of the company and its assets
